Cookies and analytics

The short version

This site uses no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. That is why no consent banner jumps at you — there is nothing here we would need to ask about.

What the site actually stores

The only cookie created here is called NEXT_LOCALE and holds a language code — either “cs” or “en”. The site sets it when you switch languages. There is nothing else inside it, and your browser forgets it as soon as you close it.

A language preference is a setting you asked for yourself, so this cookie needs no consent under the law. It cannot reveal who you are or what you looked at.

We do not measure traffic

The site has no analytics tool at all — not even a cookie-free one. We do not know how many people come here, where they came from or what they looked at. What interests us is who writes to us.

The pages also load nothing from third-party servers: fonts, photos and ornaments all ship with the site. Your browser therefore reports in nowhere but here.

What the hosting knows

For a page to reach you, a server has to send it somewhere. The hosting provider therefore processes technical data about the request, typically your IP address and browser identification. The internet does not work otherwise, and we never work with those records ourselves.

Keeping cookies in check yourself

You can block cookies at any time in your browser settings. On this site the worst that happens is that it will not remember your choice of language.
